The National Security Department said this week that a migrant in the United States without legal status threatened to shoot and kill President Donald Trump and registered what seemed to be a threatening letter sent from the migrant to an immigration agent and compliance with customs from the United States.
Ramón Morales Reyes supposedly wrote that he was going to shoot and kill Trump in one of his demonstrations and was arrested by ice agents.
However, multiple sources of application of the law now say that the authorities are investigating whether the letter was sent by another person in an attempt to frame it.
Reyes, 54, underwent a hand writing test that did not coincide with the writing of the letter.
Kristi Noem National Security Secretary Posted in x After her arrest to praise the agents and said that she “would continue to take all the necessary measures to guarantee the protection of President Trump.”
“Thanks to our ICE officers, this illegal foreigner who threatened to kill President Trump is behind bars,” he added.
Noem has not commented if Reyes could have been framed.

The authorities said they believe that Reyes was involved in a dispute with another man who is in jail for charges of threatening Trump and wanted to deport to Reyes to prevent him from testifying against him, the sources said.
“The threat research is ongoing,” said a senior DHS official to ABC News when asked about the case. “In the course of the investigation, it was determined that this individual was in the country illegally and that it had a criminal record. It will remain in custody.”
The Milwaukee Police Department, which is investigating the threat, told ABC News that “it is investigating an identity and incident of intimidation of victims related to this incident.”
An MPD spokesman said the department “will not be able to confirm the names of the parties involved, since the investigation is ongoing and no one has been criminally accused at this time.”
In the initial press release that promotes the arrest of Reyes, DHS said that Reyes was in the country illegally at least nine times and has a violent criminal history.
“This threat does not even arrive even a year after President Trump was shot in Butler, Pennsylvania, and less than two weeks after the former FBI director Comey asked for the president’s murder.” He said after the arrest of kings.
“All politicians and media members should realize these repeated attempts at the life of President Trump and mitigate his rhetoric,” he added.

The Secret Service, which investigates the threats against the president, sent ABC News to DHS to comment.

He arrives like last week, Stephen Miller, deputy director of the White House personnel, was at ICE headquarters together with Noem and urged high -level leaders in ICE and national security research to intensify their deportation efforts, according to sources familiar with the meeting.
The meeting was attended by ICE senior and special agents in charge of national security investigations. The Tom Homan border tsar was absent from the meeting.
Miller told the main ICE leaders that the Trump administration wants to triple the daily number of arrests that agents were doing up to 3,000 per day, according to the sources.
