Inner circle members testify as the second week of Sean 'Diddy' Combs is launched.

After a week of testimony of Cassie Ventura’s star witness, federal prosecutors in the current trial for Sean “Diddy” Combs began on Monday to call witnesses who believe they could corroborate the accusations of threats, abuse and violence of their ex -girlfriend.

Dawn Richard, former member of the Pop Group Danity Kane, told the jury that he personally witnessed the combs assaulting Ventura. The former best friend of Ventura, Kerry Morgan, told Ventura to leave what Morgan saw as an abusive relationship. And the former combs assistant, David James, offered a look at what it was like to work for the rap magnate.

“This is the kingdom of Mr. Combs. We are all here to serve in it,” James told one of the combs employees saying when he interviewed for work.

In six hours of testimony that were developed as a legal strip and loosen, the combs lawyers tried to put doubts about the witnesses of prosecution and highlighted inconsistencies in the testimony, collecting part of the credibility that they could have accumulated with the jury during the direct exam.

Comps declared himself innocent and denies accusations of sexual trafficking and extortion, arguing that although he could have committed other crimes, such as domestic abuse and illegal use of drugs, he has not sexually assaulted or trafficked anyone.

The testimony will resume on Tuesday, when James takes up the stand to explain how would prepare the hotel rooms for Peines, a testimony that prosecutors plan to use to establish what, according to them, is a criminal company with combs in their center. Such a criminal company is a key to testing the extortion positions that prosecutors have presented against combs.

Prosecutors are expected to call an escort known as “The Punisher” and call Ventura’s mother on Tuesday.

Dawn Richard testified about dinner full of stars where the combs supposedly hit Ventura

Dawn Richard began his testimony after Ventura left the witness position on Friday. He resumed his appearance in the Court on Monday morning testifying about how he witnessed combs he beat Ventura several times.

Richard testified that he witnessed combs to puncture his then girlfriend Ventura in the face with a “closed fist” in 2009 before a music festival in Central Park. After Ventura put sunglasses and makeup to hide the injury, Richard said that sunglasses “in solidarity” with Ventura was placed. The jury then saw a photo of Richard, Ventura and another member of Danity Kane with sunglasses at the festival.

Richard also testified that the violence spread to other public environments, claiming that ComBs hit Ventura in the stomach during a group dinner attended by Usher, Ne-Yo and Interscope Records Jimmy Ivine. Richard mentioned that the accusation in his civil lawsuit against the combs, but the defense lawyers stressed that Richard’s previous discussion did not mention the high profile guests.

Richard in 2024 sued the combs by assault, infringement of copyright and false imprisonment, claiming, among other things, that he touched her on numerous occasions and forced her to endure the inhuman working conditions. Combs denied all the accusations and their lawyers last week presented a motion to dismiss the case.

In the interrogation, the defense lawyer Nicole Westmoreland said that Richard’s story of an alleged assault has changed several times, which led some jury members to visibly shake his head and scribble notes. Westmoreland also suggested that Richard agreed to testify against combs because he ruined his musical career dismantling the musical groups that had ever been part.

“You felt that Mr. combs ruined your career only one but twice,” said Westmoreland. “Yes,” Richard replied.

Ventura’s former best friend takes the podium

The former best friend of Ventura, Kerry Morgan, testified on Monday about two cases where, he said, personally he saw Comps assault Ventura.

She testified that she saw the combs hit Ventura in a rented home in Hollywood Hills, and testified about a second instance when ComBs, supposedly in her presence, assaulted Ventura during a trip to Jamaica.

“I heard her shout and went to the hall. The hall was extremely long. They were leaving the main bedroom and he dragged her to the floor for her hair,” Morgan testified on Jamaica’s journey.

Prosecutors also asked Morgan about the sequels of a 2016 incident when ComBs is accused of assaulting Ventura. Ventura has testified that this happened when he tried to leave a “monster” at the Intercontinental hotel in Los Angeles. Part of that incident was captured in closed circuit security cameras of the hotel.

Morgan’s account coincided with what Ventura told the jury last week, saying that the police arrived after the incident, but Ventura refused to cooperate.

Morgan said that his relationship with Ventura ended in 2018 after combs tried to drown Morgan and hit her with a wooden hanger. Morgan testified that Comps demanded that she say “who Cassie was deceiving him” while Ventura locked himself in a bathroom.

Morgan said he later accepted a $ 30,000 payment payment after he threatened to sue. She accepted a confidentiality agreement in exchange for money, testified.

In the interrogation, defense lawyers questioned why Morgan has not revived their relationship with Ventura. They tried to strengthen the idea that combs was violent simply for jealousy and due to the drugs he was taking, it is not that he was using violence to force Ventura and keep it under his control.

“Draw the physical abuse line,” Morgan said. “The reason I stopped talking to her was that he did not support me after that incident.”

The former combs assistant testifies to ‘Mr. ‘Penes’ Kingdom’

David James, former combs personal assistant, began his testimony on Monday by telling jurors about interviewing for the work he had with combs.

When he entered the headquarters of Bad Boy Entertainment in New York, James said an employee commented on a photo of combs hanging on the wall. “This is the kingdom of Mr. Combs. We are all here to serve him,” James said, the woman told him.

James testified about the demanding hours, took the security personnel of the weapons and the moment when Ventura warned him about the combs.

“She told me: ‘Man, this lifestyle is crazy,'” said James Ventura. “She said: ‘I can’t go out. You know Mr. combs supervises much of my life. He controls my musical career, gives me an assignment.”

James’s testimony will resume on Tuesday morning, when he is expected to continue describing the supposed process of preparation of hotel rooms for combs.

That line of testimony could establish the widest company of the people who supported and enable their activities.

Prosecutors release testimony of Ventura’s testimony

After four days of the brutal and deeply intimate testimony of Ventura last week, federal prosecutors published on Monday many of the photos that have shown the jury in their effort to condemn combs in their case of sexual trafficking and extortion.

Through the evidence, the jury members could see some of the bruises, gas and ranches that Ventura said he suffered after combs defeated her. They also saw a knife that Ventura said he used to block a door and protect himself from the combs.

“I was receiving many unnoticed visits from Sean, where I was angry, and trying to kill two birds of a stone, to block it and have a weapon,” he testified.

The prosecutors also published photos of The Night combs were arrested last year, including $ 9,000 in cash, substances that said they gave positive for ketamine and mdma, and bottles of baby oil that were supposedly stored by combs for use during the sexual parties that witnesses have described in the testimony of the court.
