President Donald Trump intervened on Monday in the ice arrest of Mahmoud Khalil, a leader in the movement of the University of Columbia who, according to him, was a “student of Radical Foreign Pro-Ahamas.”
“We know that there are more students in Columbia and other universities throughout the country who have dedicated themselves to proterrorist, anti -American, anti -American activities, and the Trump administration will not tolerate it. Many are not students, they are not paid agitators.

The student negotiator Mahmoud Khalil is on the Campus of the University of Columbia in New York in a Pro-Palestinian protest camp on April 29, 2024.

Trump added that the White House “wait[s] Each of the United States schools and universities to meet. “
ICE arrested Khalil during the weekend, claiming that his student visa had been revoked, according to lawyer Amy Greer in a statement to ABC News. However, Khalil is in the United States with a green card and not in a student visa, Greer said.
